Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment Program (BEAD)

The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) appropriated $65 billion to support closing the digital divide.  NTIA will administer a portion of the IIJA funding under multiple programs including the $42.45 billion BEAD program. The BEAD program will allocate funds to all 50 states and territories by a formula derived from the FCC’s new broadband maps data.  

Allocations announced June 26, 2023.  Montana will receive $628,973,798.59. 


The Department of Administration (DOA) is responsible for establishing and administering the broadband infrastructure deployment program - ConnectMT.
