Planning is already underway for the 2027 Broadband Showcase Trade Show, taking place at the DoubleTree by Hilton January 13–14, 2027, in Billings, Montana. We're busy building the agenda, lining up sessions, preparing registration, and putting together another great event for Montana’s broadband industry - including bringing back the fiber splicing contest! The Showcase is our annual trade show, bringing together more than 200 Associate Members and close to 150 telecom professionals, including inside and outside plant personnel, supervisors, and other industry leaders. In addition to exhibit booth opportunities, we offer a variety of sponsorship options designed to increase visibility and elevate your company’s presence throughout the event.

Speakers

Ben Calvert is the Chief Technology Officer at Range, where he leads innovation in delivering high-speed connectivity across rural Montana and Wyoming. With more than 27 years in the telecommunications industry, his career spans IT, voice switching, fiber-to-the-home network engineering, software development, and cybersecurity. He’s driven by a passion for learning about new technology, building reliable networks that close the digital divide, and empowering communities on the edge of the frontier.

Ben lives with his wife, Claudene, and their four dogs in Forsyth, Montana, where they enjoy camping, traveling, and date-night Fridays. They have two grown daughters and four grandchildren who keep life lively and full of stories. When he’s not designing broadband networks at Range, Ben dives into podcasts on technology trends, explores cybersecurity, reads, games, and sharpens his Linux and Python skills.

Outside of work, he’s also the creative mind behind the tongue-in-cheek, The Abandoned Husband Log—a serialized saga (created with the help of AI) in which his four dogs play the roles of superheroes, villains, and courtroom personalities in the ever-chaotic city of Sofa City. Whether he’s chronicling canine capers or debating his next Apple device purchase, Ben’s curiosity and sense of humor keep him fully engaged in both tech and storytelling.

Peter Davies is a network engineer with more than 25 years in Broadcast and Telecommunications infrastructure, which is a polite way of saying he has been on the receiving end of most of the industry’s outage calls. His career is storied, spanning Nemont Telephone, Lumen/Centurylink, overseas with ProActive Communications and various broadcast networks, where he has worked on advanced infrastructure, fiber and CBRS deployments. He has also written the SOWs, SLAs, and managed the multi-site vendors expected to honor them. Based in Shepherd, Montana, he holds an amateur radio license and multiple FCC license credentials, so he stays calm when the network goes down and the radio is what’s left. He brings the same direct, practical approach to the stage and the podcast mic that he brings to a fiber splice.

Jacob N. Rebo is the founder and CEO of Cullis AI, LLC, an AI governance firm. Before founding Cullis AI, he litigated in Montana state and federal courts and led AI governance programs for global technology companies. He holds a JD/MBA from the University of Montana, the IAPP Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP) certification and a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and is a former U.S. Army Captain. Cody Rose is the founder and CEO of AIFluency.ai, The AI Fluency Company, aMontana-based company helping organizations measure and build their workforce’s ability to use AI effectively and responsibly. AIFluency.ai has achieved the Select partner tier in the Claude Partner Network Services Track, and the company provides AI fluency assessments, hands-on training, custom Claude implementations, and access to a vetted network of AI practitioners through its Coaching Hub. A fifth-generation Montanan, Cody co-founded AIFluency.ai with his wife, Brittney Rose, and holds both an MBA and an MPA after previously serving as a nonprofit executive director. Benjamin Prill is a Cybersecurity Consultant at Vantage Point Solutions, based in Hamilton, Montana. Working with telecommunications providers nationwide, he helps secure networks through IT audits, penetration testing, and tabletop exercises. Because technology is only half of the security equation, Benjamin also conducts social engineering assessments and staff training to help teams recognize and respond to real-world threats. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Cyber Operations from Dakota State University and is CompTIA CySA+ certified.

Delos Bulkley (DJ) is the Director of Operations at Hot Springs Telephone Co where he leads a fantastic team committed to providing exceptional service to our community. Delos grew up in Montana and graduated from Chinook high school before attending college in Glendive and Havre. He spent 9 years in the MANG, managed an elevator for Columbia Grain, a sales and service territory for Professional Computer Services and ran a boarding/grooming business with his wonderful wife before joining the telecommunication industry in 2006. Delos began his telecommunications career in construction before moving into the CO then engineering and management. His career in telecommunications has been a wonderful accident that allowed him to raise his two great children in the same beautiful rural Montana that he grew up in.

Tim Riley is the CEO/GM at 3 Rivers Communications in Fairfield, Montana. Riley joined 3 Rivers in December of 2025. With a 30-year career in telecommunications, he most recently served as president of a fiber optic construction firm based in Oklahoma City, OK. Riley has spent much of his career focused on rural connectivity. His career began with a role on the team managing Oklahoma’s statewide network, OneNet. He then worked for a rural ILEC in Oklahoma, and a number of its subsidiaries, for several years. Riley holds a B.S. in agricultural communications and an M.S. in telecommunications management from Oklahoma State University. Interestingly, he began his master’s program in 1996, the same year as the implementation of the Telecommunications Act of 1996. He has enjoyed participating in the transformation of the telecom industry over the past 30 years. Riley is married, has two adult children, and is loving Montana, and all this state has to offer.
